TONY JACKSON TAKES CHECKERED AT PATH VALLEY “KID’S NIGHT”

Path Valley Speedway had a loaded pit area Saturday night with 150 racecar drivers signing in for the evening’s competition, & to share time with their favorite fans on Kid’s Night.
The drivers brought their racecars to the track to have a meet & greet with all their fans, sharing pictures, autographs, flags, light up toys, candy & much more. It was an awesome evening of enjoyment for all, ending with a beautiful fireworks display by T.A. Ward.
The Metzler Auto, Truck & Trailer Wingless Super Sportsman line up had Donnie Farlling & Brad Cowan at the front, with Farlling taking the lead for one lap, till Cowan took over as leader, while Farlling, Brad Kling, Craig Perigo, & Tony Jackson ran the top five, till Craig Perigo’s racer came to a stop on the backstretch, putting his ride to the pit area.
Cowan brought the reline to the green, with Jackson putting his racer into 2nd place ahead of Farlling, Kling, & Brandon Shearer, till two laps later, when Sam Leonard passed Shearer to take 5th place. Cowan & Jackson were in a fierce battle for first, with Cowan refraining him from advancing till a caution came out for Luke Lenker in turn 4, tightening the restart, with Jackson making his move at midrace, to take the lead. Cowan, Farlling, Kling, & Leonard, ran in their positions for 6 laps till Brett Perigo passed Leonard to take control of 5th. Two laps later, Perigo continued to advance to the front, passing Kling for 4th, where they raced for 9 laps till Perigo passed Farlling, taking over 3rd place.
Jackson led the racers to the green, followed by Cowan, Brett Perigo, Farlling, & Brian Nace, who passed Kling on the final lap to take 5th. Brad Cowan had the best lap traveling 71.983 MPH in 12.503 seconds.
Path Valley will return to racing action on August 15th, with the nightly sponsor being “The Spring Run Pit Stop. The racing card will include the T.A. Award Construction 270 sprints, Macri Concrete 600 Sprints, Cisney’s Auto Parts 4 Cylinder Thunder Cars, Metzler Auto Truck & Trailer Wingless Super Sportsman & the P.A.S.S 305 sprints.
The Roy C. & Margaret G. McGee Memorial will be held on August 22nd, at which time the Guy G. Timmons Memorial will be included & also a special event to celebrate the Country’s 250th year of Freedom.
Every feature winner will receive $250.00, All classes will receive a “Hard Luck“& “Hard Charger” award of $50.00; T.A. Ward will be sponsoring his $500.00 to win for the 270 division, Tim Burkholder will be sponsoring $250.00 to be spread out to the 15th thru 24th finishers in the Thunder car division, & is also donating 4 bicycles that will be raffled off, with the income going to the Thunder Car Points Fund. All drivers that finish in 11th place will receive $25.00, in memory of this being the 11th annual McGee Memorial, 4 Handmade Flag lap coverings made by Shirley Enslin, {Roy & Margaret’s niece} will be raffled off, Fireworks by T.A. Ward will be part of the program, The Timmons’ Family will be providing a parade of 10 street semi-trucks {a first time occasion at Path Valley} in memory of Guy, Roy & Margaret, & in celebration of all those who fought for our freedom.
