Wilbur takes Checkered at Path Valley

The Metzler’s Auto, Truck & Trailer Sales Wingless Super Sportsman entered the oval with the rumble of power as Transtan Stoner & Brandon Shearer sat at the front on the show of green. Stoner pulled to the front with Shearer, Brett Perigo, Luke Lenker & Steve Wilbur in the top five. Wilbur was on the move as he brought his ride closer to the front with each lap, while competing with Shearer & the Perigo Team. Michael Smith brought out the caution when he got into the turn 4 infield, resetting the division with Stoner in charge, Shearer, Brett Perigo, Wilbur & Craig Perigo at the top five level. The feature was approaching midrace when the competition in the top five intensified, resulting in Wilbur taking the lead; Dexter Ehrenzeller being sandwiched between the two Perigo racers, & Eric Walker coming from 22nd to pull into the top five spot. Brett Perigo put the pressure on Wilbur as they both dodged lapped traffic, but Wilbur crossed the line for the checkered ahead of Brett Perigo, Ehrenzeller, Craig Perigo & Eric Walker for the top five. Transtan Stoner had the best lap traveling 73.777 MPH in 12.199 seconds.
